Samantha & Marcus

Samantha & Marcus had the perfect day. We were sure to be rained out, but instead ended up with great weather and some shade! Samantha & Marcus got married at Lazy J Ranch in Milford, MI. This was my first time at this venue, and I'm excited to go back. Samantha and Marcus, along with their families and wedding planner put together a wedding with just the right mix of rustic and elegant. They hired Fifty Amp Fuse as their wedding band, and once the party started, it did not stop. We were all surprised when mid Father/ Daughter and Mother/Son dance, the foursome broke out into a choreographed dance!

Trevor & Rebecca- Engagement

Trevor and Rebecca met while working at Comerica Park. So, it was only fitting that we did their engagment session there. It was so fun, and admittidly strange, to be there with an empty stadium. This was my first tiem shooting inside of Comerica, and I hope to go back again! Trevor and Rebecca are getting married this July and I can't wait to see this sweet couple tie the knot!

Kristina & Kyle

Talk about a blond bombshell. I loved Kristina and her family the first time I met them. When I met Kyle, at their engagement session, I found out this couple has great chemistry and a ton of love for each other. Kristina was the epitome of glamour on her wedding day. When she put on that dress my jaw dropped. As the day progressed it was incredible to see how they moved together. The couple and I, along with their large group of friends we headed to the D for some photos at the DIA and the Joe. Their entire bridal party was a blast. At the end of the reception Kyle even DJ's a bit of his party. A previous bride and groom of mine was also in attendance. I can't thank my clients enough for recommending me to their friends and families.

This past year I've had the gift of being able to photograph my dear cousin's maternity photos, and then the newborn photos for her beautiful twins! Shannon and I grew up together, from young kids causing chaos, teenagers and those pesky boys on their jet skis, and now to MOMS! It's hard to believe we are even mature enough for such things :) Last fall Shannon and her fiancé Kevin came back to Michigan and I was able to get some time to photograph this beauty in all her pregnant glory! A few months later and these gems arrived. A not so quick (9 dang hours) drive to Illinois, with my mom and my two littles, and I had the privilege of taking their first professional photos. Getting to see someone who you've known this well, and since you were children, become a mom is one of the most beautiful experiences. On top of all that, she's killing the mom thing! Twins, two step children and all! It's truly amazing, and I can't wait to see what this next chapter looks like for this beautiful family of 6.

Andrea, Barry & "The Girls"

This August I get the pleasure of photographing this couple's wedding. Andrea & Barry have the sweetest family. Barry is completely out numbered by these beauties. The girls were great during our session. It was fun getting to do an engagement session/ family session. Can't wait to see all 5 again this summer!

Derek & Brittney

So excited to finally have time to catch up on my blog and online portfolio. I've just started going through my work from 2017 and have so much to share!

First up is Derek & Brittney. They got married in June 2017 at Waldenwoods in Howell Michigan. The venue was beautiful. Brittney had paid such close attention to detail, her wedding looked like it could be straight out of a magazine. I was literally jumping with joy all day. We had the perfect weather, the perfect couple and the perfect venue.

The rain held off just long enough for an outdoor ceremony and all of their family formals. Mid dinner, we looked outside and found we had been graced with the most beautiful sunset. A quick scramble for some lights, and we flew outside, just in time to capture this couple in the sunset.

Kelly & Jake

Kelly & Jake had the cutest 20's themed wedding! We just missed getting rained on for their outdoor ceremony, but it was worth it. A very fun couple with a great bridal party. Their ceremony took place at the Longacre house with the reception at the Meeting House.

Cherice & Victor

This is an oldie but goodie! This beautiful bride had her heart set on a travel themed engagement session. Turns out they had been living apart, in different states, for most of their relationship. Travel has a special place in their hearts.  How amazing to see a relationship that has thrived, even with the obstacle of distance? <3 I love this themed session!
