Here’s a throw back to 2017! Somehow this wedding never made it to my blog. This adorable couple and their pups had one of the best barn weddings to date! There was so much attention to detail. On top of all that, Nancy & Mike had one of the most fun bridal parties I’ve ever worked with!
This engagement session was FUN. I don’t think it was the cold, dampness or the threatening rain, it was this couple who were easy to laugh with and who undoubtedly can not get enough of each other. Being part of Frank and Emily’s wedding in 2019 will absolutely be a highlight for me. We did their engagement session at Nichols Arboretum, with a short stop at the University of Michigan’s Law Quad.
Amy & Cooper got married at the Ann Arbor City Club. This was my first time at the venue, and it did not disappoint. Just as we finished their first look, the rain started, and it poured! Thankfully the sun came back out, and the venue’s employees worked quickly to dry out the seats for the couples outdoor ceremony. I have to send a shout out to their florist Pear Street Flowers, who was the mastermind behind all the floral arrangements, including the flowers on the trellis. Some how they still looked amazing even after the storm!
I can not wait for this couple’s wedding in September 2019! They were such an easy going, and fun couple. It’s not hard to see why they connected and have decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Their engagement photos were taken at Stoney Creek Metro Park.
This wedding was STUNNING! Brittany and Matt are not only a great looking couple, but they have style. The details were perfect, and the venue was gorgeous. Matt & Brittany got married at Oakhurst Country Club in Clarkston, MI. The venue itself has great light, beautiful views and lots of character. In addition to their venue, the couple worked with Jessica Bennett from J Bennett Designs as their wedding coordinator. Their DJ Brian Hood from Special Moments Entertainment had the dance floor packed with happy guests. Everything fell right into place for their big day!
These two are already married ;), but I never got around to showing off their engagement photos, so here it goes. These were done at Independence Oaks County Park, just a few short weeks before their big day!
Zachary & Danielle were the sweetest. They got married at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Macomb, and held their reception at Shelby Gardens. This couple may look young, but their love for each other was the real deal! Every person at this wedding was thrilled to see the couple wed. The look on Zachary’s face when he saw his bride coming down the isle was priceless!
Thank you to all of my couples, who have helped me reach this goal again! I’m very thankful and proud to announce that Samantha Lee Photography has been awarded Best of Weddings for the 3rd time, and second year in a row. So, to all of my past and present clients THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your memories.
Peace & Love,
Alyssa and Robert got married at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, MI. Their wedding was so fun and full of smiles. We JUST missed the rain during their first look, but thankfully the rain went away in time for us to finish portraits at their venue. Their wedding wasn’t just pretty, it was fun and when I left the dance floor was packed!
Alyssa and Robert were recommended to me from past clients (who were also at the wedding <3 ) I’m always so thankful for word of mouth praise. Plus I get to visit with my past couples again, which I adore.
Anders & Katy got married at St. Joan of Arc in St. Clair Shores. This church is a dream for photographers, with all of it's natural light. After they made it official, we headed over to Paint Creek Country Club in Lake Orion. Here we were able to take full advantage of their beautiful course. With help from their staff and some golf carts, the couple and I headed out to some of their prime photo ops.
Katy & Anders were a joy to work with. Easy to pose, and natural together. Their entire bridal party was a good laugh, and the time flew by.
Their reception was elegant and simple. Lots of greenery, candles, shades of gold and crisp white linens. A delicious dinner was served before dancing started. When I left the floor was still packed!
Samantha & Marcus had the perfect day. We were sure to be rained out, but instead ended up with great weather and some shade! Samantha & Marcus got married at Lazy J Ranch in Milford, MI. This was my first time at this venue, and I'm excited to go back. Samantha and Marcus, along with their families and wedding planner put together a wedding with just the right mix of rustic and elegant. They hired Fifty Amp Fuse as their wedding band, and once the party started, it did not stop. We were all surprised when mid Father/ Daughter and Mother/Son dance, the foursome broke out into a choreographed dance!
Superhero chic.. is that a thing? Jordan and Emily were so much fun! They got married at the Village at the Henry Ford Museum. They had been recommended to me by a past client and I was so happy to be part of their big day. Every part of the day was just fun and easy. There was no shortage of laughing at this wedding. They even had super heros as table numbers, and the groom was surprised by his family with "Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!" during his dance with his mom. To say working with this couple was a pleasure would be a major understatement.
Last May Megan & Eric "tied the knot" at The Valley of Frutig Farms in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This has quickly become a new favorite venue, with it's endless possibilities for photos. The wedding was beautiful. Megan had put a great deal of thought into the details and stunned in an ivory and pale pink dress. This couple was ear to ear smiles, and you could tell thoroughly enjoyed their wedding. With all the stress that goes into planning, it's makes my heart happy to see my couples really enjoy and be present on their day. Megan and Eric had such a wonderful family and bridal party. Everyone was so happy to see these two hitched!
