Emily & Kevin

Emily & Kevin had one of the coolest weddings. If you haven’t been to the Madison yet, you should. I highly recommend this venue for any couple looking to get married in the Detroit area, who want a unique venue. The rooftop views are to incredible and the staff was not only easy to work with, but entirely on top of their game.

Their ceremony took place at the Belle Isle Conservatory. We had rain, it started just as Emily was coming down the aisle, but cleared up and left us with the best lighting about half way through. After taking photos on the island, we headed into Detroit for more photos opportunities, but the drizzle quickly turned to down pour. We were lucky to have access to great views onto rooftop of the Madison for photos later in the evening as the sun was setting. There rain cleared up just after dinner and the party was able to continue on the roof.

The highlight for me was when Kevin gave a toast before dinner. His excitement over his new family was so sincere. He got each of his new daughters up to speak to their character and the things he loved about them. It was incredibly touching, one of my all time favorite moments of 2020 for sure.
